Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards launches the 2020 eve announcing Siddhant Chaturvedi as best debutante

Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards (DPIFF), one of its kind and the prestigious award show of the cinema industry will commence on the 20th of February, in Mumbai. The award is a recognition to the people of industry for their hard work and constant dedication towards the growth and success of the sector.

Team DPIFF in order to introduce the 2020 awards night organised a pre event press conference amidst the knows of the industry. Present were Siddhant Chaturvedi, Ramesh Sippy, Kiran Juneja, Aparna Acharekar, Elli Avram, Nivedita Saboo, Badal Saboo, Pakkhi Hegde, Zuber K Khan and Chandrashekar Pusalkar. The motive of this conference was introducing some highlights of the event as well as some in depth discussion of certain cinematic topics.

For the very first time the team announced one winner on the day of its launch. Siddhant Chaturvedi is given the best male debutante award for Gully Boy.

Abhishek Mishra, CEO of DPIFF said, “I’m overwhelmed by the response that DPIFF is receiving. I’m honoured to be serving as the CEO of DPIFF as well as the member of the censor board. The noble work that DPIFF is doing other than being a prestigious title and celebrating the grandeur of Indian Cinema, is beyond commendable. I’m extremely grateful to the entire team for being so supportive and hardworking. I’m lucky to be in this position today for something so prestigious and grand.”

The event will stream live on ZEE5 ott platform.
