Not many people know that her real name is Pushpa Joshi, and the sad news is that she has passed away on Nov 26.
At the age of 87, Pushpa Joshi, the woman who made us fall in love with her, breathed her last.
According to a report on thehitavada.com, she suffered a fracture after she slipped at her home last week. Following which, she was hospitalised in Mumbai. She was successfully operated thereafter.
Pushpa Joshi hailed from Jabalpur. She first came into limelight with her short movie called Zaayka that was produced by her son Ravindra and daughter-in-law. Following this, she bagged a role in Raid. She has also featured in movies like Ramprasad ki Terahvi.
When she had bagged Ajay Devgn-starrer Raid, she called it a “miracle”.
“I thank god for giving me this opportunity. I am thankful to Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla, and the team for taking good care of me. At first, I thought these stars must be haughty, but I was touched by the warmth and love they showered on me. I would have never imagined to even meet these stars, leave alone acting with them. I had a great time shooting in Lucknow.
It’s so heartwarming that the diva dadi worked until her last day. Just a while ago, she had posted a poem on her Facebook account called Chodungi Na Aaj Abhi Jeevan Baki Hai.
Everyone paid an emotional tribute to the lady who found a special place in our hearts. We’ll always remember her for her infectious energy, impeccable talent and great sense of humour.
