After Kabir Khan and Hansal Mehta, the highly desired fresh face among character actors, RAVI KHANNA, works with IMTIAZ ALI for a TVC.

IMG-20180718-WA0122International character actor RAVI KHANNA of BAJRANGI BHAIJAN fame, after working with Kabir Khan, Hansal Mehta and Prabhudeva among others, now works with famous director Imtiaz Ali for a biryani masala TVC that has gotten him praise for his comic timing by the director, co-actors and his fans.

The TVC is already gone viral,
“Working with Imtiaz who made Rockstar and Tamasha”, says Ravi Khanna with a proud smile, “was like a dream coming true.”
Riding high on the success of his latest blockbuster for the Disney channel called “Tere Liye Bro”, Ravi Khanna (also known as RK) is thrilled with the positive response for his comic role in this TV Ad that has gotten him rave reviews from across the globe, especially his fans in America where the commercial is playing big time on Asian Television Channels.

According to Ravi, “Anyone can do Hamlet, but comedy is a serious business”. He says, “comedy is my favorite genre and in America I won the coveted Helen Hayes Award for my subtle nuanced role in ‘INDIAN INK’ a stage play by famous British playwright Tom Stoppard”.

After pursuing the theater as a hobby in America along with his journalistic journey with Voice of America TV and Radio, Ravi returned to Mumbai in 2015 to fulfill his dream of acting in Bollywood films, a dream his mother interrupted when she sent him to study journalism in America in the late 1970’s.

It was a very bitter pill for Ravi to swallow because at the time he was a known name in New Delhi theatre circles as a versatile actor who equally excelled in plays done by All India Radio and Doordarshan, and also by different theater groups on stage. He had done several workshops in NSD and other prominent theater groups of the time. Later he was happy because In USA he got the chance to do workshops with the Studio Theater and Lee Strasberg Institute (of Method Acting).
